Anna is a local girl having grown up near Chesterfield. She graduated from Lindon Vet School in 2006, having spent some of her university holidays ‘seeing practice’ with Rebecka who was working as an assistant vet in mixed practice at the time.

Anna joined the Derwent Valley Vets team in 2004. Prior to this she had spent 12 years working in a mixed practice before concentrating on solely small animal work since having children. Anna likes all aspects of veterinary work but is particularly interested in cardiology (studying how the heart works) and is currently studding towards a post graduate certificate in this discipline.

Anna lives locally with her tow boys Harry and Jake, her black labrador Ember and her two cats Paul and Gary (named after famous football players by her football mad boys). Ember accompanies Anna when out running or hiking in the Peaks, and is always really keen to hurl herself whole hearedly into any available water.

Anna is very sporty and when not at work she can be found playing netball, swimming, scuba diving or cycling. Her boys have followed in her sporty footsteps so she is also often found on the touchline of various pitches, being number one coach and cheerleader.

Anna likes to travel and will often combine a nice holiday destination with one of her sporty passions. She is a bit of a foodie and once she has finished an energetic day, there is nothing she likes better than refueling with a nice local beer or a glass of wine.
